Cleo will this month open its doors on the 12th floor of HYDE Melbourne Place, unveiling a reimagined rooftop bar that combines sweeping city views with a vibrant Eastern-Mediterranean dining experience.
Part of the global Ennismore portfolio, Cleo’s new space is framed by the building’s iconic twin “Eyes” and promises to be a dynamic destination for all-day dining, drinks, and entertainment.
A very nice space
Following a three-month refurbishment, Cleo’s refreshed interiors exude warmth and sophistication. The design features lush greenery, rich jarrah finishes, and soft linen textures, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The versatile seating options, including lounge settings, long tables, and high bars, seamlessly transition guests from breakfast to sunset drinks and late-night cocktails.
Mediterranean-inspired bevs
The drinks program, curated by Beverage Operations Manager and Sommelier Matthew Jensen (Farmer’s Daughters, Vue de Monde), takes a classic approach infused with Mediterranean character. Guests can enjoy Mediterranean varietals alongside standout Australian producers like Lethbridge and Avani. The cocktail menu is equally enticing, featuring pear-infused whisky, pomegranate, sumac, and fig across spritzes, highballs, and polished non-alcoholic options.
A stunning menu
Head Chef Jordan Clavaron (Cutler & Co, Society) leads the kitchen, crafting a menu that celebrates traditional Eastern-Mediterranean techniques, spices, and fresh local produce. Designed for sharing, the dishes are vibrant and generous, with highlights including Matbucha dip, Crispy Prawns with Green Harissa, and Lamb Tomahawks with Eggplant and Curry Leaves. Desserts lean into classic flavors like pistachio, rose, and cardamom, offering a sweet finish to the meal.
For early risers, Cleo serves breakfast daily from 7am, featuring a refined à la carte menu with seasonal fruit, eggs to order, specialty coffee, and elevated staples like avocado toast.

Events and all
Cleo is set to launch into summer with a music series in partnership with Untitled Group, bringing vibrant entertainment to the rooftop. Additionally, Sunrise Sessions with Peaches Pilates and SONNA will run every Saturday morning in January and February. These sessions include a 45-minute Pilates class, a 10-minute meditation with SONNA LED Face Masks, and a curated breakfast menu, offering a rejuvenating start to the weekend.
