The world’s most iconic musical is gearing up for an unforgettable Australian tour.
Les Misérables The Arena Spectacular, a breathtaking celebration of Boublil and Schönberg’s beloved masterpiece, will storm stages in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane in 2025, promising an experience like no other.
Due to overwhelming demand, additional performances were recently announced, with the World Tour’s Australian leg kicking off at ICC Sydney Theatre on 30 April 2025 for 15 performances. The tour then heads to Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne from 14 May for another 15 shows, before wrapping up at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre from 28 May with 7 spectacular performances. Newly added final shows include Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May in Sydney, and Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May in Melbourne.

A spectacular cast
The cast is nothing short of extraordinary, led by Shan Ako, who will reprise the role of Éponine for Australian audiences. Shan, an award-winning performer, has been celebrated for her portrayal of Éponine in the 2020 staged production at London’s Sondheim Theatre and the sell-out Staged Concert at the Gielgud Theatre. A star of West End hits like Hamilton, Shan is sure to bring unparalleled emotion and power to this cherished role.
Adding to the magic, 8 talented Australian children will take to the Arena Spectacular stage, sharing the roles of Gavroche and Little Cosette across the Australian dates. Young stars Christopher Joseph, Sebastian Sero, Orlando Steiner, and William Steiner will share Gavroche, while Samara Coull-Williams, Violet Massingham, Scarlett Sheludko, and Alexandra Szewcow take on Little Cosette.
Returning to iconic roles are musical heavyweights such as Alfie Boe and Killian Donnelly, sharing the part of Jean Valjean, and Michael Ball and Bradley Jaden, alternating as Javert. Fan favourites Matt Lucas and Marina Prior will bring the mischievous Thénardiers to life, alongside Jac Yarrow as Marius, Beatrice Penny-Touré as Cosette, and Rachelle Ann Go as Fantine.
