When pharmacist Singing Tin set out to create CUTISÉ Cosmeceutical Skincare, she had one clear goal: to take the guesswork out of anti-ageing routines. With a pharmacist’s precision and a healthy dose of scientific know-how, she built a four-step range powered by astaxanthin, the king of antioxidants.
Astaxanthin may sound like another buzzy new skincare ingredient, but this mighty carotenoid isn’t new. It’s produced by the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis and it’s 6000 times stronger than Vitamin C when it comes to neutralising free radicals. If you want skin that looks less ‘tired parent of a newborn’ (AKA me) and more ‘glowy, just-back-from-holiday’ (AKA James), this is the stuff you want on your face.
So, we put CUTISÉ to the test. 30 days, four products, and one ageing face.
Here’s how each one performed:
Step 1: Omnigel Cleanser
This is no ordinary cleanser. In a single pump, it goes from gel to exfoliator to oil and finally to milk, leaving skin feeling clean without that dreaded tightness. It’s the ultimate lazy-person multi-tasker, removing makeup, sloughing away dead skin, and hydrating all at once.
The only gripe? The lid could use a redesign for easier access and closure while washing. Not a dealbreaker, but we did curse it once or twice with wet hands. We’d recommend using the exfoliating portion of the formula every 2-3 days if you don’t have congested skin, it’s very easy to skip to the bit you want by adding water from the jump.
Step 2: Brightcare Day Serum
Lightweight, plumping, and perfect under makeup, this serum is a winner for daytime glow. It sinks in fast, plays nicely with SPF and foundation, and gives that subtle bounce that makes skin look well-rested (even if you’re running on three hours’ sleep). This was our favourite product in the range, although with sensitive skin it took a few days to adjust, when we did the bright glow was worth it.
Step 3: Complift Eye Gel
The wand-style applicator is pure genius. Just pump, swipe, done. It feels cooling on tired under-eyes and leaves the area looking brighter. Yes, there’s a tiny bit of product wastage in the nozzle, but honestly? The convenience is worth it. Trialling both daytime and nighttime use, the preference landed on day for the ability to fill and smooth those fine lines under the eyes, allowing makeup to go on smoother.
Step 4: Assence Night Cream
Packed with Vitamin A, this one’s a must for retinol lovers. But be warned: if you’re already using other retinols, ease into it to avoid irritation. We worked our way up from twice a week and by week three, the glow (and smoothness) was real.
The Verdict?
CUTISÉ is streamlined, smart skincare that does what it says on the box. It’s a four-step routine that feels luxe without being overcomplicated. The astaxanthin-powered formulas genuinely deliver on glow and firmness, especially after the 30-day mark.
Would we recommend it? Absolutely, as long as your skin isn’t overly sensitive. For those ready to invest in a potent anti-ageing routine, this pharmacist-led range is proof that science-led skincare really can be simple and effective.
