This groundbreaking event aims to redefine the traditional concept of the ‘Debutante Ball,’ presenting a grand space full of pomp and ceremony at the iconic Darlinghurst venue, Kinselas, providing an inclusive space for all queer identities. First Timers at Mardi Gras will have the chance to participate alongside trailblazers of the LGBTQIA+ community in the Debutante Ball, making their debut into thousands from their community. This unique initiative is designed to inspire those who have, until now, been unable to attend the renowned festival. Prospective Debutantes are simply required to share their personal journey and reasons for choosing to attend their first Mardi Gras this year. The event will be enriched with the presence of Australian singer and actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who will set the stage ablaze with her top hits, while also sharing her own story as a proud new member of the queer community.
