Melbourne’s south-east dining scene is set to glow this November with the opening of Shelly in Caulfield, a bold new venture from the team behind the hugely popular Shelanous. Opening its doors on Wednesday 5th November, Shelly promises an immersive, storytelling-driven culinary experience that raises the bar even higher.
Shelanous became an instant favourite when it debuted in Port Melbourne last year, boasting a two-month waitlist and a glowing endorsement from none other than Katy Perry. Now, Shelly is here to meet the insatiable demand while offering a fresh, high-energy experience that the city’s food lovers won’t want to miss.
A Journey for the Senses
Shelly will transport guests through a multi-sensory adventure, featuring a 10-course trust-the-Chef degustation menu that is kosher-certified and halal-friendly. From start to finish, the evening is about more than just food; it’s a theatrical celebration of flavour, creativity, and connection.
Key features include the Sense Bar, a 30-seat dining room, and a dazzling starlight ceiling that sets the stage for an unforgettable atmosphere. While Shelanous is known for intimate dining, Shelly plays on a grander scale, seamlessly blending sophisticated storytelling with fun, communal energy.
The Vision Behind Shelly
“The demand for Shelanous since opening has been overwhelming,” said Rony Parienty, co-owner and chef behind both restaurants. “We’re constantly booked out two months in advance, and we love seeing people enjoy the experience we deliver alongside the great food and drinks.
“But, with a waiting list this long, we knew it was time to open another location. Opening Shelly in Caulfield will not only allow us to meet demand, but also create a whole new high-energy experience for our guests. We can’t wait to welcome people when we start this new chapter.”
An Invitation to Connect
What sets Shelly apart is the convivial experience of shared dining. Guests leave feeling that they’ve not only enjoyed one of the best meals of their lives but also made new memories – and perhaps even new friends.
With its bold menu, creative flair, and warm, vibrant setting, Shelly is poised to ignite Caulfield’s dining scene. Mark your calendars for 5th November to experience the next evolution in Melbourne’s culinary storytelling.
