Two years ago, an enthusiastic and determined Liry’s Jewellery embarked on a remarkable journey. Confident in their vision, they invested heavily in machinery and skilled jewellers to craft their own Cuban link chains right in their store. This was a significant milestone, validating their initial decision to offer these chains. Their popularity had soared, and this investment marked a proud moment that filled them with excitement for their future in the jewellery business.

Liry’s love affair with gold, the material they prefer to work with, is steeped in personal history and practicality. They grew up with gold, appreciating its timeless beauty and value as an asset. Gold, they believe, is perhaps the only luxury item one can purchase, enjoy for years, and then resell at a price close to its original cost.

In a world where many choose the path of least resistance, this company takes the road less traveled. They refuse to cut corners, prizing quality above all else. They source their chains and bracelets directly from Italy, renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship. Over the years, they have made multiple trips to Italy, meeting with manufacturers to ensure that they are sourcing the best.

Liry’s Jewellery commitment to quality sets their jewellery apart. Their handmade Cuban link chains, crafted in-house, boast perfect karat purity. In fact, they often go above and beyond the required karat to provide their customers with the best value. They spent significant time and money finding the right Italian manufacturer, even when each “minimum” order typically costs around $10,000 or more.

What truly distinguishes them from others in the market is the peace of mind they offer. Liry’s stand by the karat of their gold for life, providing customers with a lifetime guarantee. When you invest in their jewellery, you’re not just buying a product; you’re securing a future.

While respecting traditional jewellery-making techniques, Liry’s is not afraid to embrace modern technology. They use fiber optic laser cutters, laser welders, and 3D software and printing to enhance their craftsmanship. These tools allow them to create designs with incredible detail, making their collections fresh and exciting.

Inspiration for new designs comes from Liry’s dynamic team. They collaborate and discuss ideas, often engaging in friendly debates about what they should create next. Whether it’s a new style of chain or a unique ring design, they believe that it takes more than one person and opinion to create an amazing line of jewellery.

Although they are always exploring potential collaborations, their top priority remains serving their everyday clients. They are continually introducing new pieces and growing their collections, staying true to their mission of delivering high-quality, beautifully crafted jewellery.

This company’s journey is a testament to the power of confidently enthusiastic vision, vivid imagery, persuasive and technical expertise, and a positive, fun approach to their craft. Their story continues to unfold, offering customers not just exquisite jewellery but also an engaging narrative of innovation, quality, and creativity.

We spoke to Daniel Carvajal, Vice President of Liry’s Jewellery, about why men should consider incorporating jewelry into their style and more!

could afford to invest around a hundred thousand dollars in machinery and skilled jewellers to create them ourselves. It was a moment that made us proud of our journey in the jewelry business, and really excited about the future.

What materials do you prefer working with the most, and why?

I would say gold, just because that is what I grew up with. It’s also just a great asset. It’s probably the only expensive thing you can purchase, use/enjoy for years and years, and then sell it for close to what you paid.

How do you ensure that your jewelry pieces are of high quality and meet the expectations of your customers?

Not cutting corners. Far too often jewelry stores will go for whatever is cheapest and quickest to arrive. We do the exact opposite. We want the best quality, regardless if it takes a little longer, or costs us a little more. When you sell true high-quality pieces it makes everything easier. That’s why all the chains and bracelets we do not make here, we get directly from Italy. The Italians know chains better than anyone, and every piece they produce is stunning. We spent years ordering from lots of different countries, Italy is by far the best. We’ve actually gone to Italy 3 times in the past 4 years to meet with our manufacturers and make sure we have the best.

What sets your jewelry apart from others in the market, and what makes it a worthwhile investment for potential buyers?

It all boils down to quality, which we mentioned earlier. When it comes to our handmade Cuban link chains, because we create them ourselves, we can guarantee that the karat purity is always perfect. In fact, we often go a bit above the required karat to ensure our customers get the best value for their money.

When it comes to our Italian manufacturer, finding the right fit was no easy task. We went through approximately 5-8 Italian companies to ensure we partnered with the best. This was quite an expensive investment, especially considering that each “minimum” order typically costs around $10,000 or more. And let’s not forget the 4 years we spent traveling to Italy to meet them in person. Most stores just buy from a wholesaler in NY or LA, who probably buys from another importer who actually buys it from a manufacturer (who knows where).

What sets us apart is the peace of mind we offer our customers. When you buy from us, you’re not just buying jewelry; you’re investing in a lifetime of security. We stand by the karat of our gold for life, giving you confidence in your purchase.

How do you approach the delicate balance between staying true to traditional jewelry-making techniques and incorporating modern design elements?

I think modern technology really helps with most things in our business. Fiber optic laser cutters allow us to engrave and cut nameplates in half the time it used to take, and the outcome is nearly perfect with minimal touch up needed.

Laser welders let the jewelers make incredibly small solderings in the perfect spot not possible with classic torch.

And that’s not even mentioning the 3D software and printing capabilities. We can create designs with incredible detail, and then the 3D printers let us print waxes that cast with those same details.

How do you stay inspired and continuously come up with new and innovative designs to keep your collections fresh and exciting?

That’s a good question. I think a lot of it has to do with our awesome Team. We all are always discussing, and often arguing, about what we need to carry or make next. Whether it’s a new style or chain that we have not seen, or a ring 2 of us love and 3 of us want to melt, it takes more than just one person and opinion to create an amazing line of jewelry.

Can you tell us about any upcoming projects or collaborations that we can look forward to seeing from you in the near future?

We’re always working on exciting things! We’re continually introducing new jewelry pieces and growing our collections. While we do have ongoing discussions with various individuals and companies about potential collaborations, our top priority remains serving our everyday clients.
