This year’s venue, Borough Yards, situated near London Bridge and amidst the historic Victorian railway arches, offers an ideal backdrop for the exhibition. The 67th World Press Photo Contest of 2024 received an overwhelming response with 61,062 entries from 3,581 photographers representing 130 countries. A dedicated panel of 31 international professionals meticulously reviewed submissions over six weeks, with regional winners set to be unveiled on 3rd April 2024, followed by the global winners on 18th April, just ahead of the London exhibition opening.

The contest’s structure encompasses six worldwide regions and invites entries across four format-based categories, welcoming a spectrum of stories that encapsulate news, events, and diverse issues of social, political, and environmental significance.
