Grill’d has a new vegan cheeseburger, for the plant-lover in your life

Grilld cheeseburger

Even if you’re a dyed-in-the-wool carnivore, you’d have to be living under a rock not to have noticed veganism’s new popularity surge. It’s a lot different to the vegan food you’ve probably tried in the past, too: if you hear ‘vegan’ and think tasteless tofu or sad, wilted spinach, you’ve got another thing coming. Almost everyone and everything is going vegan these days, from pizza to hotdogs and everything in between.

Grill’d has become one of the latest restaurants to start offering a dedicated vegan menu, with two new burgers that are completely plant-based (that’s no meat or dairy!). There’s the Hemp Therapea, a crunchy and leafy green offering for those who love a bit of hemp and avocado in their daily diet; and the Vegan Cheeseburger 2.0, a reworked version of the vegan cheeseburger that became available earlier this year.

While Grill’d is still one of the healthier fast-food offerings out there, their Vegan Cheeseburger 2.0 feels like something you could tuck in to after a long night out on the town (or a rough day at work), and that’s exactly what we’re here for. With mustard, pickles, vegan mayo, and vegan cheese – not to mention a spookily realistic vegan beef pattie – it’s just like tucking in to any of your old favourite burgers, only this is one you can eat guilt-free.

Whether you’re an avowed vegan or just someone who’s interested in getting more plant-based goodness in to your diet once in a while, we highly recommend you head on down to Grill’d and get familiar with their latest offering. There’s more than enough on the menu to keep your meat-eater mates happy, and you can tuck in to the Vegan Cheeseburger 2.0 knowing that unlike a few years ago, you won’t be missing out on anything at all.
