You want to make sure the tenants you rent your property out to are going to be reasonable, as well as able to keep up with the rent.

If you don’t want to scare tenants away, make sure the rules you set allow for comfortable living, yet aren’t too lenient that would allow for damage or changes that you wouldn’t be happy with. If you don’t enforce the rules, your tenants might start to push it even further – which could be costly.
