Krispy Kreme launch ‘Doggie Doughnut’ treats in time for International Dog Day
Pooch lovers, get excited! For a limited time, you’ll be able to treat your furry bestie to Krispy Kreme’s dog-friendly ‘doughnuts’! And they are super cute! Each ‘Doggie Doughnut’ is inspired by an iconic Krispy Kreme flavour, with six flavours to choose from including Original Glazed, Choc Cookie, Choc Sprinkles, Choc Iced, Strawberry Sprinkles and Choc Cheesecake. Krispy Kreme has paired with a small independent business based in Queensland called Huds & Toke, which specialises in pet treats. They’ve come up with all-natural, nutty-based doughnut-shaped biscuits which are handmade, low in fat and contain no added salt, sugar, or preservatives. The hard-baked cookie base and frosting have been designed specifically for dog jaws – using ingredients like carob and yoghurt – for dental cleaning benefits and to last longer than the usual cookie for your doggie’s ultimate chewing pleasure. Emma Gibbons, founder of Huds & Toke said, “We had so much fun reimagining Australia’s favourite Krispy Kreme flavours as dog-friendly treats. We wanted to perfectly recreate the details of each iconic doughnut so owners could get “matchy-matchy” with their pets! It’s the best fun. It’s also our biggest manufacturing project to date and awesome to have a brand as influential as Krispy Kreme reaching out to a small Aussie business like ours.” The ‘Doggie Doughnut’ six-packs are available from your nearest Krispy Kreme via online click and collect at the following drive-thru stores: • NSW: Liverpool, Auburn, Mascot, Penrith • VIC: Bulleen, Fawkner, Fountain Gate • WA: Cannington, Myaree, Whitford City If you purchase the… Read More
