After undergoing a significant refurbishment, the iconic Woollahra Hotel is well and truly back in business and welcoming guests to enjoy the new look and a refreshed culinary experience. The hotel’s redesign boasts a thoughtful approach to preserving the original Art Deco architecture and more recent European modernism adaptations to celebrate the historical value while adding a contemporary twist.
With new spaces, come new culinary experiences while still honouring the Woollahra Hotel’s historical roots. It’s nice to see the hotel’s history still intact – there’s something very ‘Gatsby’ about this beautiful establishment.
As you enter the hotel’s newly renovated Front Bar, you’ll want to pull up a chair, order a cocktail from the extensive cocktail list and enjoy the new surroundings – a relaxed and welcoming space dedicated to championing the classic pub experience.
After a relaxing tipple at the Front Bar, it will be time to make your way upstairs for a culinary feast of flavours with an Asian twist. Be prepared to be impressed.
The extraordinarily talented chef, Jordan Muhamad (ex-Rock Pool, Spice Temple, Chin Chin) has led the redesign of the food offering Upstairs at the Woollahra Hotel. The venue now offers a contemporary pub menu with an Asian influence and Jordan’s team has risen to the challenge with a super impressive menu including a delicious Hiramasa Kingfish sashimi, a mouth-watering caramelised pork belly dish and a house-made, Thai green chicken curry that will keep you coming back for more.
You can taste the love in chef Muhamad’s dishes and it’s just a pleasure to experience.
Bistro Moncur, one of Sydney’s favourite top restaurants with roots in traditional, French bistro fine dining has also undergone a renovation. Led by experienced Head Chef Mark Williamson and his established team, guests can enjoy classic favourites including Barossa chicken pâté, grilled sirloin and the saffron crab omelette or experiment with seasonal specials. Paired with an array of boutique and international wines along with signature cocktails, it’s the ideal spot to relax and enjoy a refined dining experience in the heart of Sydney’s Eastern suburbs.
