Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House is about to dazzle not only with its spectacular lights and music but also with a mouth-watering array of culinary offerings in 2025.
Running from Friday 23 May to Saturday 14 June, this year’s program unveils an exciting new chapter in food and drink, turning Sydney’s iconic landmark into a haven of global flavours, immersive dining, and imaginative treats.

Forecourt Food Village
Stepping onto the harbour-side Forecourt, visitors will discover a vibrant Forecourt Food Village debuting for the first time. This open-air food hub features two culinary stars who are set to bring their signature styles to the waterfront.
La Cubanita, a bold pop-up led by Opera House Events Culinary Director Danielle Alvarez, offers a soulful tribute to Alvarez’s Cuban heritage. Think fried fish sandwiches bursting with tropical zest, pulled pork sliders, crispy Caribbean-style sweet potato fries, and even a playful kids’ menu.
Next door, K-town Bites, curated by Executive Chef Jimmy Ryu, serves up sizzling Korean street food with crispy fried chicken, Gochujang cauliflower, sweet potato noodles, and kid-friendly portions.
The tastes are complemented by The Bar ft. Archie Rose, delivering a curated menu of local wines, craft beers, and signature cocktails like mojitos and a bold buttered rum and raisin creation. Open nightly from 5pm to 10pm, and with free entry, the Forecourt is the perfect start to your festive evening.
The Aurora
Inside the Northern Foyer of the Concert Hall, The Midnight Special returns to light up Vivid LIVE with The Aurora, an ethereal pop-up bar inspired by the magical hues of the Southern and Northern Lights. Visitors will be swept away by dazzling light projections, elemental decor, bespoke cocktails, and a stellar DJ line-up.
Open from 6pm until late (Friday 23 May to Sunday 1 June), The Aurora invites both passers-by and concertgoers to enjoy the magic. Whether sipping an inventive cocktail or soaking in the atmosphere, this dreamy bar is a must-visit.
Bespoke Dining at Bennelong
For those looking for something extra special, Bennelong is offering two bespoke dining options under its iconic sail. At the Bennelong Bar, treat yourself to a signature cocktail paired with four elegant bar snacks for $65 per person. Or, for a more indulgent experience, enjoy a three-course menu in the Bennelong Dress Circle, accompanied by four snacks and a glass of premium champagne for $285 per person.
These exceptional offerings are paired with breathtaking views of the illuminated Harbour and are available from Friday 23 May to Saturday 14 June.
Vivid Food Highlights
This year’s Vivid Food program elevates the dining experience with marquee events that blend gastronomy, art, and culture.
- Dance of Dreams with Danielle Alvarez (Friday 13 & Saturday 14 June): Set in the Yallamundi Rooms, this immersive three-course dinner pairs Alvarez’s locally sourced dishes with live music and a performance from dance collective New Old Now. All framed by the shimmering Vivid lights over Sydney Harbour, tickets are $329 per person.
- Saltbush and Starlight Dining with Mark Olive (Fridays & Saturdays, 23 May–14 June): First Nations chef Mark Olive invites guests on a cultural and culinary journey. After a behind-the-scenes Opera House tour, indulge in a three-course menu celebrating native Australian ingredients. Paired with NSW wines, craft beers, and stunning light projections, this exclusive experience redefines al fresco luxury.
Finally, Mark Olive’s flagship restaurant, Midden, will serve a special themed cocktail menu with warm and non-alcoholic options, perfect for sunset sips on the Western Broadwalk.
Harbour-Side Delights
Iconic venues Opera Bar and House Canteen return with festival-inspired treats for the duration of Vivid LIVE. Highlights include Opera Bar’s indulgent warm espresso martinis and custom Ciccone & Sons ice creams and a nostalgic candy floss and hot chocolate cart at House Canteen—with a cheeky tipple option for adults.
