40 years of the rich, famous and fabulous: Robert Rosen’s exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum Sydney
Coming this August, the work of renowned, polirte paparazzi, Robert Rosen, is on display at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo. Over the course of his 40-plus year career, Robert Rosen documented glittering parties, concerts, fashion events and nightclubs across Australia, London and Europe. He captured the rich, famous and fabulous for the fashion and social pages for leading newspapers and magazines. He defied the perceived image of the pushy, intrusive paparazzi, instead approaching with a polite and discreet approach that earned him the respect and trust of his subjects. Carrying two or three cameras around his neck, with a glass of champagne in hand, he became a fixture in the social scene, capturing intimate portraits that conveyed the mood and energy of the times.
