But the generosity doesn’t end there. The Happy Mexican will continue the fiesta throughout April with a $2 taco happy hour from 5-6 pm every evening, starting on the 3rd. The menu boasts an array of tantalizing flavors, from juicy roasted chicken breast and zesty marinated pork, to crispy beer-battered fish, and their signature blockbuster, slow-cooked beef birria tacos. And for those seeking something a little different, they’ve got you covered with options like Calabacitas and Nopales.
Julian Romero, the visionary behind The Happy Mexican, and head chef Jesus Rios, with over two decades of Mexican culinary expertise, are at the helm, bringing the rich, authentic flavors of Mexico to Sydney’s dynamic and diverse culinary scene. The menu features an exquisite selection of dishes, including the revered Quesabirrias, alongside a drink menu bursting with creative concoctions like creamy Piña Coladas, zesty Palomas, and an eclectic array of Margaritas.
Retaining The Lansdowne’s historic feel, The Happy Mexican injects a subtle Mexican flair, complemented by live music and space for private functions. Located on the corner of Broadway and City Road, The Happy Mexican welcomes guests for lunch or dinner from Wednesday to Saturday, with the Lansdowne rooftop open for food and drinks on Friday and Saturday evenings.
