Sydney-based social enterprise Two Good Co. has exciting news for gastronomy enthusiasts and philanthropic individuals alike. The esteemed chef, author, and gastronomic traveller, Christine Manfield, has been revealed as the second chef in its highly anticipated LOAM X Two Good Chef Dinner Series. This exceptional collaboration is set to take place on Wednesday, 20th March at LOAM, the all-day restaurant located at Ace Hotel Sydney.
The event promises an evening of culinary delight and charitable contribution, with tickets priced at $110 per person. This includes a meticulously crafted multi-course menu by Christine, complemented by wines from Balmy Nights, and a donation towards Two Good’s mission to support, empower, and employ women rebuilding their self-worth and independence following domestic violence, homelessness, and complex trauma.
Christine Manfield, renowned as one of Australia’s most celebrated chefs, is set to present a menu that encapsulates the overarching theme of ‘do more with less’, a philosophy dear to Two Good Co. As a culinary ambassador, her unique creations seamlessly merge indigenous ingredients with globally inspired flavours, embodying the ethos of sharing simple yet delectable food prepared with love.
“It’s been a pleasure working with Two Good on their latest cookbook, and I’m excited to continue our partnership, this time alongside the wonderful team at LOAM,” expressed Christine Manfield. “The menu I’ve created is all about simple, meaningful food, and I hope it fosters a sense of community and connection amongst our guests.”
The menu, co-crafted by Christine and the esteemed LOAM team, boasts tantalizing offerings such as warrigal leaf tempura with saltbush and furikake salt, pea-stuffed eggplant with roti, spiced sea mullet with beetroot coconut relish and coconut rice, and a pavlova puff with lemon cream and Davidson plum for dessert.
In a testament to the enduring impact of Christine’s culinary artistry, two of her signature dishes, the spiced sea mullet and pavlova puff, will grace the monthly specials at LOAM until the end of April. For each dish sold, $2 will be donated to Two Good, reinforcing the commitment to their noble cause.
Rob Caslick, the Founder of Two Good, expressed immense gratitude at having Christine Manfield spearhead the second instalment of their Chef Dinner Series. “Her menu does more than just showcase how incredible, simple, and wholesome meals can be- it also pays tribute to indigenous ingredients and their rich history, inviting guests to explore the stories they tell.”
The quarterly dinner series, inaugurated in October 2023 to mark the release of Two Good’s third cookbook, Change The Course, continues to garner momentum. Each event features collaboration with some of Australia’s most esteemed cooks and chefs, all revolving around the cookbook’s central theme of ‘do more with less’.
