Sydney’s new 25 Martin Place has officially launched its theatre and dining precinct

With a $170 million redevelopment behind it, the new precinct 25 Martin Place is open and ready to welcome visitors, so for the moments you’re wandering through the middle of Sydney with food on the mind, this is where to go.

Located at Martin Place Sydney, the multi-storey dining district and late-night bars overlook the plaza and feature an enticing mix of local and international cuisine, lively bars, fine dining and casual cafes, along with the state-of-the-art refurbishment of Theatre Royal Sydney.

Here are six new offerings from restaurants in the area to look forward to…

Food Luva gnocchi wine Sydney
  • Kazan: For $60pp enjoy any two courses. Miso soup and Nasu Dengaku miso eggplant with green chili to start, a choice of main like the Tai Sakamushi sake steamed NZ red snapper with ginger and shimeji soy, and a choice of dessert like the Yamazaki 12 chocolate fondant with coffee ice cream.
  • Aalia: Start with a glass of sparkling, beer or a house cocktail. Select a choice of snack, entrée and main for $70pp. Highlights include Beef nayyeh with rhubarb and black cardamom, Ummak Huriyya cuttlefish with couscous, andSwordfish with quince and barnea olive oil.
  • Botswana Butchery: For $115pp enjoy a choice of entrée like Kombu cured king salmon with stretched curds, fermented cucumber, yuzu koshu and bronze fennel, and a main like Wood grilled Copper tree farm Friesian stud sirloin with house beer mustard, along with sides for the table including Duck fat potatoes, Roman beans with almond tarator and espelette, and Darling mills heirloom lettuce and herb salad with chardonnay dressing. Alternatively on the Rooftop on Botswana Butchery, for a quick bite enjoy a Botswana burger with glass of bubbles for $30pp.
  • L’uva: For $50pp enjoy two courses and a glass of wine, or for $65pp enjoy three courses with a glass of wine. Choose from dishes like Bruschetta al pomodoro to start, Fusili al ragu (veal brisket ragu) for a main, and finish with a dessert like Espresso martini tiramisu.
  • White + Wong’s: With the Chef’s Selection Royal Banquet, from $55pp, enjoy a bountiful selection of house favourites selected daily by the chef, including dumplings, curries and an array of sides and desserts, with a glass of wine or beer to accompany.
  • Cabana Bar: For a quick and delicious pre-theatre meal, choose 3 tacos from a selection of Barramundi, Haloumi or Pulled Pork and enjoy alongside either a Tommy’s, Spicy Senorita orCoco Cabanarita margarita, for $33. Also offering a late night supper menu until 11pm, the perfect setting for a post-show refreshment with light bites like Seasonal oysters with cucumber and mignonette, Fried squid with paprika romesco aioli and lemon, and Cheese boards with fruit paste, chutney, grapes and lavosh  on offer.
