A Merry Marylebone Christmas has officially begun in the UK

Christmas in Marylebone has started in Marylebone Village as shoppers enjoyed the launch of the Christmas lights switch-on organised and funded by The Howard De Walden Estate in England.

Started by Roger Daltrey CBE from legendary rock band ‘The Who’ and Honorary Patron of Teenage Cancer Trust, it’s a time in the UK where shoppers can expect six weeks of festive fun including promotions, talks and workshops.

Teenage Cancer Trust Honorary Patron, Roger Daltrey CBE, and legendary frontman of ‘The Who’ said, “For many years Marylebone Village has been my stomping ground. It is indeed an honour to have the chance to kick start Christmas in Marylebone, and even better that tonight’s festivities are supporting a cause close to my heart; Teenage Cancer Trust. Half of 13-24 year olds diagnosed with cancer still don’t get specialist care designed for young people and we are working hard to change this but there’s still a huge amount to do! A huge thank you to the Howard De Walden Estate and the team behind Marylebone Christmas Fayre for choosing Teenage Cancer Trust as a beneficiary for this evening. Vital support like this will help us move closer to a time when every young person who wants Teenage Cancer Trust support is able to get it.”
