Father’s Day in London: Spend it at the K West Hotel

Father’s Day in the UK is on 16 June (1 September in Australia), and if you’re still panicking about what to do, then the time’s come to chill: K West Hotel has you covered.

Rock Cab Tours and K West Hotel & Spa, two rock ‘n’ roll institutions, have joined up to create the ultimate rock experience for Dad on his day. They’ll be dishing up a two hour Rock Cab Tour, overnight accommodation in a plush Executive Room, Retro Afternoon Tea for two and a cooked English breakfast. Priced at £315 and based on two people sharing a room.

It’s just a bit of a cool, staycation-y way to show Dad how boss he is, as well as splurging on something nice for the guy who gave you everything.

It’s a throwback to the hey days of London in the 70s and 80s, giving him the chance to meet the ‘Rock & Roll Cabbie’, Stephen Channell, who’ll chauffeur him and his guest (Mum?) and fellow musos around the sights and shrines to rock and music legends. Stops along the way include Abbey Road Studios; the former home of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury; the location of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust album cover; and Jimi Hendrix’s sixties Mayfair flat.

Oh, and if you want to spend just an arvo, not the night, the Retro Afternoon Tea and Tour is available without an overnight stay for £53 per person, minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 5.
