Cult skincare brand CeraVe comes to Australia

American cult skincare brand CeraVe is coming to Australia, with the aim to be the world’s #1 medical skincare brand. Well on its way, being the United States’ #1 dermatologist recommended moisturising brand for dry skin, CeraVe will be available in Chemist Warehouses across Australia from next week.

CeraVe takes skincare back to basics with an emphasis on anti-allergenic hydration. Free from allergens, fragrance, and irritants, CeraVe’s formulas utilise an advanced formulation of three skin identical ceramides with MultiVesicular Emulsion release delivery to aid in actively restoring the natural skin barrier.

Ceramides are a form of lipids found in the skin cells and compose 50% of the skin barrier, making them essential to healthy, hydrated skin. CeraVe delivers these ceramides to the skin with a unique 24-hour slow release technology, eradicating the need to continually reapply moisturiser – a lifesaver with the dry Australian winter on its way!

CERAVE

One of the few dermatologist-approved skincare lines, CeraVe focuses on adding ceramides to strengthen and protect your skin from external elements, making it popular with sufferers of eczema or dry skin. “Ceramides form an important part of the skin barrier function, as they make up part of the seal that keeps water in and irritants out. Ideally, a skin care formulation should not just protect the skin but also rebalance what may be missing from the skin,” dermatologist Dr Eleni Yiasemides explained.

CeraVe’s ‘hero products’ comprise of the moisturising cream, a lighter water-based moisturising lotion, and the soap-free hydrating cleanser. In total, ten CeraVe products are currently available in Australia, including the hydrating cleanser bar, foaming cleanser for face, facial moisturising lotion SPF 15, facial moisturising lotion, eye repair cream, reparative hand cream, and renewing SA foot cream.
