This Father’s Day, two top Merivale establishments are turning Father’s Day on for all the Dads out there with what’s on offer this Father’s Day.

Father’s Day Yum Cha at Queen Chow Enmore and Queen Chow Manly

Both Queen Chow Enmore and Queen Chow Manly will be open from 10am for a special Father’s Day Yum Cha. Treat dad to a range of delicious steamed seafood dim sum, pork xiao long bao, aromatic duck spring rolls, and char siu puffs by the water at Queen Chow Manly, or prawn har gau, wild mushroom dumplings, steamed seafood and black caviar and Queen Chow special roast duck cheung fun at Queen Chow Enmore.

The Newport Father’s Day Surf Competition

The Newport Father’s Day Surf Competition is back this year in collaboration with Newport Plus Boardriders. This year’s competition is dedicated in loving memory of local legend and incredible father, Mark McDonald, and the registration funds will be donated to local charities Oneeighty & Mums for Mums.

Newport, and Glass Avenue will be awarded for best fancy dress, best grom, first, second and third places, which will be presented back on the big stage at The Newport, the team at Newport Plus Boardriders will be cooking up a storm on the BBQ with fresh bacon and egg rolls, local legends Zubi will be keeping the crowd caffeinated, and Misfit Shapes will be setting up with their epic demo surf boards. The Newport Kombi will be available for guests to book down at The Peak Platform for a ride back up to The Newport for the awards presentation too. 

Time: From 7am, with presentations back at The Newport at 1pm

Location: The Peak Platform, Newport Beach (north end of the car park)

Cost: $30.00 per team

They’re celebrating Father’s Day with an indulgent three-course menu, custom designed by Head Chef Francesco Mannelli.

Dad’s can be treated to two starters to share, a choice of two signature dry-aged steaks; Grilled 1KG grass-fed T-bone (3 week dry aged) or grass fed 800GM rib eye (6 week dry aged) cooked to perfection in their wood-fire oven and served to share, and finished off with dessert and coffee.

As an added bonus, on the day ten lucky fathers will win a masterclass experience with Francesco Mannelli to learn how to cook the perfect steak.
