If you like your dinner with a side of fire and theatrics, Butchers Buffet is where you need to be. This all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue joint isn’t just a meal, it’s an event. And with their newest location now sizzling away in Lidcombe, there’s even more space to feast, flame, and flex your tongs.
Butchers Buffet has been taking over Sydney, one grill at a time, since 2019, with hotspots in Eastwood, Strathfield, Blacktown, Cabramatta, and Chinatown. Their Haymarket outpost was so popular, they had no choice but to supersize, shifting 20 metres down the road in K-Town into a sprawling 500-square-metre space, complete with 60 individual barbecue stations and private rooms that can host up to 30 meat-loving mates. And yes, it claims the title of Australia’s biggest all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue buffet.
This is no old-school Sizzler situation, Butchers Buffet is a vibe, not just a pig-out session. Think neon lights, K-pop beats, and the smoky, irresistible aroma of grilled meats filling the air. It’s a pick-your-own-adventure feast, with an epic lineup of bulgogi, soy-marinated scotch fillet, wagyu beef belly, spicy pork belly, beef ribs, and more. Not a DIY kind of person? The hot food section’s got you covered with crispy Korean fried chicken, house-made dumplings, japchae, and pork short ribs. Not a meat person? Unlike other Korean BBQ’s, you could probably skate by with alternate offerings (there is after all an entire ice cream fridge).
To wash it all down, there’s a selection of Korean beer, flavoured soju, and ice teas. They even cater to halal-friendly diners with select beef and chicken cuts. And while the energy here is modern and high-octane, Executive Group Chef Joanne Lee keeps it all grounded in tradition—using only the freshest ingredients, daily-made sauces, and zero preservatives.
So, grab your crew, claim your grill, and get ready to feast, because at Butchers Buffet, the meat (and the good times) just keep coming. Their newest spot in Lidcome is a must-visit, but if the lines are anything to go by, book ahead! With prices from $37.99 for all you can eat quality meat, it’s a cost-of-living dream venue.
