Following sold-out runs at Brighton and Camden Fringe and a successful stint at Edinburgh Fringe, this must-see production arrives at the Bread & Roses Theatre in Clapham on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 October.

A Wildly Entertaining Dive into Sexual History
Blending scripted comedy, stand-up, burlesque, and audience participation, #Hysteria takes audiences on a hilariously unhinged yet historically and scientifically accurate journey through the history of human sexuality. From bizarre taboos to shocking truths, the show promises to educate and entertain in equal measure.
Sierra Callaghan, the creative force behind Callaghans Questions, is a self-described “professionally over-qualified person” with five Honours Degrees in Psychology, Education, Sciences, Fine Arts, and a Master’s in Film and Media. After relocating from Canada to the UK in 2016 to teach biology, Callaghan’s passion for science education led to the creation of their TikTok page, Callaghans Questions, which now boasts over 170,000 followers. Their unique blend of humour, education, and performance inspired the creation of #Hysteria.
Destigmatising Sexual Health Through Laughter
“The average adult is not well-versed in sexual health, and many don’t know what’s normal or healthy when it comes to their own bodies,” says Callaghan. “This show aims to destigmatise taboos around sexual health and sexuality while encouraging audiences to laugh at how absurd our aversion to education on this topic is.”
Callaghan believes the show will resonate with everyone, but especially with queer communities, young women, and anyone who has experienced conditions like vaginismus, endometriosis, or erectile dysfunction—or simply felt confused by the complexities of having genitals.

#Hysteria: A History of Human Sexuality is written by Sierra Callaghan and Ray Wilson, directed by Katie Bonham, and produced by Panad Productions. With its unique mix of humour, education, and inclusivity, the show is set to be a highlight of this year’s Lambeth Fringe.
