If you’re looking for somewhere to escape the winter blue, look no further than the palazzo-style spaces in Shell House, one of Sydney’s chicest bars and eateries. Teaming up with Perrier Jouët Champagne, Shell House is launching a six-week program of interactive events showcasing music, entertainment, culture, dining and drinking, aptly named Champagne Moments.
With a range of events taking place within Shell House, there’s something to suit every vibe:
- Tuesday 27 June – A Night with The James Morrison Quartet in the Dining Room
- Monday 17 July – The second installment of Wet, Cold & Delicious with John Susman and Narito Ishii in Clocktower Bar and The Dining Room
- Wednesday 5 July – Classic Contemporary #6 Jamiroquai x Shell House Band in Sky Bar
- Every Saturday from 4pm – Sky Bar Saturday Sunsets Series and Art Masterclass with artist Mikey
While some events require only a reservation (although get in early, Shell House is often booked out!), other high end events are ticketed and have limited spots.
A night with the James Morrison Quartet

Guests will then move into the Dining Room for a special three-course menu crafted by Culinary Director Joel Bickford and Head Chef Aaron Ward with a paired wine option selected by Alex Kirkwood.
The evening culminates as James Morrison and his exceptional jazz ensemble take to the stage for 2 x 50 sets of unforgettable live jazz.

Wet, Cold & Delicious #2 – Tuna Dinner with John Susman and Narito Ishii
Beginning in the Clocktower Bar with a glass of Perrier Jouët on arrival before a visual and sensory feast courtesy of produce by Pavo & Heidi Walker from Walker Seafoods – the best in class of the East Coast tuna fleet.
On display will be a giant bluefin tuna suspended under lights before being lowered onto a marble bench and expertly broken down by Narito.
Narito will then host a Maguro Shoten (a traditional Tsukiji fish market-style auction) to raise money for The Buildcorp Foundation. All the while, John and Narito will be sharing their wisdom when it comes to the sustainability of local and imported Tuna.
All auctioned portions will be cryovaced and boxed on ice with a bottle of Shell House’s own house-made soy sauce wax dipped and stamped for your enjoyment.
Guests will move to the Dining Room where they will be served a 5-course menu with snacks, drinks and dessert. Courses will include a tuna crudo tasting plate that deeply explores the subtle flavours of tuna – Albacore, Southern BlueFin, Yellowfin and Blue Eye – followed by a number of tuna dishes that Joel and Aaron will discuss and explain along the dining journey.
Date: Monday 17th July
Time: 6:30pm
Price: $295 5 courses $395 with matching wines. Plus a Maguro Shoten (a traditional Tsukiji fish market-style auction)
