In very exciting news, The Streets of Barangaroo are going to be hosting their Artisan Markets again this year on Saturday 13 May (Mother’s Day weekend). From 10am to 4pm, The Streets will come alive with over 40 stalls boasting carefully curated artisanal wares.
The markets have a large focus on sustainability, with CandleXchange (high-quality fragranced candles in reusable glass and ceramic containers), Dula Australia (swimwear and activewear crafted from recycled materials), 4evaeco (family-owned small business who’ve created family-friendly, sustainable tableware), and Amber’s Food Wraps among many.
Visitors will be able to peruse aisles of ceramics, prints, homewares, and jewellery, while supporting local businesses and enjoying free live music. Amongst the many stallholders are:
But that’s not all! Once you’ve finished shopping, take your Mum for brunch at one of the many cafes and restaurants on site. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, try the decadent pastries at Bourke Street Bakery or the handcrafted chocolates at Haigh’s. For something savory, head to Devon Cafe for their famous truffle scrambled eggs or the meat-rich dishes of Barangaroo House.
And of course, don’t forget that this event is happening on Mother’s Day weekend – which means it’s the perfect opportunity to treat your Mum to a day out she’ll never forget. So mark your calendars, and head to Streets of Barangaroo for a fun-filled day of shopping, dining, and entertainment with your Mum.
