Accessories label The 5th makes its move into small leather goods

5th leather wallet

The 5th is an accessories label out there, making waves… on the 5th of every month. If their five-collection-strong range of watches for men and women isn’t enough to get you going, then the news they’re shifting gear to incorporate small leather goods will probably do the trick. Inspired by all the best ports of the Globe, The 5th is unique in its own way. They release a new product for their customers on the 5th of every month; or if not a product, something to look forward to, at least. This is that. By releasing a range of small leather goods in theme with leather, they’ll be releasing five leather additions to its best-selling Bilbao range of watches. So much leather! And by launching 15 new products in one hit, it’s the biggest move for the brand at once; ever! Comprised of a card wallet, bi-fold wallet, pouch, 13-inch laptop sleeve and 15-inch laptop sleeve, they do plenty of colours, but it’s what’s on the inside that counts: with vegetable tan and vibrant red leather interiors, giving your belongings the comfort they deserve, The 5th is offering something different to seasoned leatherworkers. “I’m excited to enter into this new category; we’ve been working really hard to perfect the product. It’s an exciting time at The 5TH; we’re entering a new category with products we’ve been working on perfecting for a long time now,” said Alex McBride, founder and director of The 5TH. See more about The 5th’s new London collection here.

Why The 5th of every month is now your favourite day

5th watch

It take a lot of balls to commit to releasing something new, exciting and fresh for your customers on the 5th of every month, but that’s exactly  what accessories label, The 5th, does – and damn well, too. They’re an online fashion accessories brand that is all about luxury goods with a quantifiable design sensibility at an affordable price. They are dedicated to connecting and collaborating with creative individuals, and committed to creating limited edition products and collaborations on the 5th of every month. And what they come-up with is seriously nice. Their watches are minimal, but classic, honing-in on quality craftsmanship and materials as opposed to simply pumping out accessories for the sake of it. If their entering into the small leather goods marketplace isn’t enough to get excited about – read about that here – then the proof is surely in the pudding with their range of watches, inspired by key little morsels of design-spiration from about the world. IKEA introduces a Los Angeles urban capsule collection inspired by cool with SPÄNST

IKEA SPANST desk

Available from 28 May, IKEA will introduce a new range of homewares that veritably dump tangible ‘betterness’ all over what you think is good home furniture and style, setting the threshold incredibly high. Yet, affordable. As the Swedish homewares giant gets set to launch a new range, SPÄNST, across the country, it’s almost time to start making-way for what you’ve got, getting the home prepped as a canvas for Los Angeles inspired urban cool furniture and decor. It is all designed in collaboration with designer Chris Stamp from label Stampd, known for its meticulous attention to detail and design that embody modern youth culture with high quality and a minimal look. It’s completely different to the last collection with Danish design duo HAY in YPPERLIG and worlds apart from the collection of Kit Neale in SPRIDD, offering a distinctly urban flavour with black finishings, mesh outers and subtly printed fabrics. Either way you look at it, though, it makes ‘effortlessly cool’ an interiors’ style that is 100% accessible without breaking the bank. “As a fashion designer, I know that people want to show other people their clothes, shoes and accessories. Why spend a lot on a pair of sneakers and hide them in the closet? “I want everyone to be able to take pride in how they display their clothing and footwear, allowing them to appreciate their pieces just as much as when they’re not being worn.” Hence, the collection is all about the mesh wardrobe and great outer finishings, letting the pieces join the home as… Read More
