Get baked at Sydney’s newest pop-up event – The Big Bake

The Big Bake Sydney

We’re all looking for interesting and fun events to get us out of the house, so here’s one for Sydneysiders who don’t mind getting their fingers sticky while enjoying a cocktail or two.  From the team who brought us Floating Cinema, Bumper Cars on Ice, Beyond Cinema, and the Mad Hatters Tea Party, Viral Ventures has launched yet another innovative and fun pop-up event to keep us entertained.  It’s called The Big Bake and it’s currently running in the Sydney CBD until the end of April. This baking-themed event is the perfect way to spend a fun night out with a friend, a group of friends, or even as part of a corporate challenge. It runs for 90 minutes and during this time, you’ll be rolling your sleeves up bake, create, design & whisk (while sipping your cocktail when you’re not whisking eggs whites or combining your dry ingredients).  Before kicking off, you’ll receive a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival. There is a bar conveniently located right next to your kitchen workspace, so you and your friends can start a tab and enjoy some come cocktails during the session.  Also be prepared to participate in some hilarious games that will have your friends in stitches and grabbing their mobiles to capture the moment to unashamedly share on social.  Each Big Bake session offers multiple recipes to choose from and recipes change each week. You could be making cupcakes or custard tart one week, and mouthwatering salted caramel brownies and cheesecakes the next.  Tickets are… Read More

An experience with a difference – surviving the zombie apocalypse at Zero Latency

Screen Shot 2020 12 11 at 10.21.47 pm

Stuck for Christmas gift ideas? Experiences are always fun but if you’re looking for something a little different from the standard cheese-making session, then look no further, because you probably haven’t experienced anything like Zero Latency.  Zero Latency VR Sydney has just opened its doors and it’s the perfect time to gift your zombie-killing mates an experience they won’t forget. It’s a free-roam, virtual reality experience that takes place in a 200 square metre arena (about the size of a tennis court). There are no annoying cables or wires and you can play with up to groups of eight friends. After a thorough briefing from the friendly staff, you’ll then strap on your backpack, pop on your earphones, VR goggles, grab your gun, and then attempt to survive a reality TV show set in the zombie apocalypse in Undead Arena. If zombies aren’t your thing, your team can have a crack at escaping a stranded space station taken over by robots in Singularity. Both are guaranteed to elicit screams of excitement, fun, and fear! You’ll be drawn into a world where all that matters is survival – and it’s serious fun and a great way to escape the real world for a little while.  As you roam the arena killing zombies or robots, you’ll be guided to elevators, moving platforms and spaces where enemy robots or zombies appear out of nowhere, so you’ll want to have a team that watches each other’s backs.  More games will become available over time, including Far Cry VR which… Read More
