When Boy George Comes To Sydney
It was the Queen’s Birthday long weekend. VIVID Sydney was in full swing; the lights and sounds of the city of Sydney coming to life with all its might.
What a day to welcome international pop musician, DJ and designer, Boy George to Cafe Del Mar in Pyrmont to play his set to a crowd that quickly proved to be major fanatics.
From all ages of young 20s to late 80s, Boy George knows how to rile-up a crowd.
As was to be expected, Culture Club made a cameo, as did the house music-like tunes of many of the hits of the late 90s and today that Boy George obviously feels such a pull towards.
George was in Sydney, celebrating the successes and milestone of the biggest and greatest VIVID Sydney light festival to date. Having always had a soft spot for Australia in his history of music and production, Boy George’s enthusiasm for the crowd during his hour-and-a-half set was only made better and backed-up by his later appearance at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.
