Vans Brings In A High & Low Collection

This season, Vans has partnered with an independent Australian brand and retail boutique, Highs and Lows (AKA HAL) to create a footwear capsule. And it’s awesome.
The collection embraces signature skate heritage to coincide with the 10-year anniversary of the Western Australian brand’s longevity, while the two shoe collection includes premium executions of the Vans Sk8-Hi and Old Skool silhouettes.

As a tribute to the form and functionality epitomized by the Sk8-Hi, the collaboration offers a classic, skate-inspired iteration that embodies the familiar trademarks of Vans’ iconic hi-top. The upper has been treated with a mix of waxed suede and printed Highs and Lows Scales logo on canvas and is finished off with a tonal black outsole for skate appeal. With a nod to the properties of tin and alloy as celebratory 10thanniversary materials, a silver lining has been applied through silver eyelets, marled lining and silver contrast stitching across Vans’ signature Sidestripe. An iced, waffle outsole revealing ‘Highs’ wording completes the shoes thorough design detail.

The Old Skool features a ballistic mesh upper, brushed suede tongue and triple stitched waxed suede heel wrap and toe box. The silver lining theme continues through the silver medial zipper, marl fleece lining, silver eyelets and heel HAL logo. The iced waffle outsole reveals the ‘lows’ wording connecting the collection.

The Vans x Highs and Lows collection is available on Saturday, 17th September through selected Vault by Vans retailers for $229.95 AUD.
