The VAMFF Sunset Swim Runway
Pairing all the characteristics of a high end fashion show with the dreaminess of sitting on a Bahaman beach; the VAMFF Sunset Swim Runway is one to put in your calendar for next year.
As dusk fell outside the picturesque Melbourne Museum, models walked the navy velvet carpet to the beat of Caribbean music and a background of palm trees; making you feel as though the swimwear had just walked off the beach itself.
Each collection brought a new exciting flair to the mix, consistently keeping the audience on their toes. Billabong and The Upside brought a sporty edge that made you want to grab a surfboard and catch a few waves, We Are Handsome went more animalistic, Tigerlily and Bec & Bridge retained their boho chic roots and Jets went for a more sophisticated look with their monochrome pieces.
The Queen of the runway was definitely Camilla with their exquisitely colourful collection. One-piece swimsuits seemed to be their outfit of choice, which posed a refreshing look at what the beach scene will look like in the future. Each vibrant pattern and design just seemed to jump off each piece; with my favourite look mimicking a bird of paradise in full bloom. It was bold, it was beautiful, and a collection you should be saving your pennies for.
