Brisbane’s Treasury Casino
If you’re in Brisbane for business or pleasure, there’s every chance that a place where you can be fed, watered and entertained will be high on your agenda, and if you can get a good night’s rest in too then that’s a further bonus. There aren’t many places that offer all of the above under one roof, but The Treasury Casino delivers it and more.
With several renowned restaurants, a handful of bars, a highly rated hotel and plenty of ways to pass the time, here’s just a few of the things you should sample if you’re in the area.
Depending on your tastes, there are different options to cater for every need. The Lab focuses on locally sourced ingredients cooked with flair, including the shiru kin wagyu striploin which comes highly recommended. The Vietnamese and Asian themed Fat Noodle comes courtesy of famed chef Luke Nguyen, with his signature fat pho noodles the number one choice. It’s got a “lively buzz, great food and good service” according to reviewers, and at a reasonable price too. There are more options, whether you want breakfast, dinner or just a snack. You’ll never go hungry!
You can get a selection of amazing local and international wines alongside your dining, but if you’re just looking to have a drink then TAB Bar or Centre Bar should be on your agenda, with a different ambience in each. If it’s later nights and louder music that you’re after, then the aptly named Live Wire Bar is also on site and the party never stops – quite literally on a weekend where it is open 24 hours.
You can find more athletic endeavours to keep you entertained if you’re that way inclined; the tennis court and fitness centre are welcome additions for those who like to stay active. If you like a flutter instead of a run to get your heart racing, you can also head to the casino and check out its wide array of gaming opportunities. The usual suspects of blackjack and poker are always popular while you might be able to discuss the pros and cons of the modes of American vs European roulette over a game or two.
You’ll need some sleep!
After all that, you won’t want to walk too far to get some rest. If you even sample a tiny fraction of what The Treasury has to offer then your itinerary will have been jam packed. Luckily, one of the region’s top hotels is right there for you. It’s hosted celebrities and world leaders, including the likes of UK Prime Minister David Cameron, so you’re not going to complain at the luxuries available, just watch the video above!
The lavish surroundings are enough of a reason to stay here on their own merit without the surrounding amenities, but add those into the picture as well as the ease of access to Brisbane’s airports, then you have a perfect stop-off point if you’re a visitor. Rooms start at $179 so it doesn’t have to break the bank either.
