TopShop TopMan to open in Perth

I swear, Western Australia is churning through the retail chain of things lately, it’s soon to overtake Sydney! Already with a Zara and about to open its first (of many) TopShop TopMan stores, the city is a burgeoning one in the retail and fashion stakes, nation-wide.

Perth’s flagship store will be added to the country’s other five, demonstrating that UK fashion and retail is not only well received in Australia, but built for success globally. Following in the footsteps of the brand’s largest flagship store in the country in Melbourne’s Emporium shopping centre, Perth’s TopShop TopMan is opening at a great time for the brand.

The flagship for the western side of the country will open on 31 October, a definite nod to Perth as Australia’s 4th largest, fastest growing and sunniest capital city; Perth has in recent years become known for its social and economic growth.

The TopShop TopMan store in Perth will be 2190 square metres and house both brands across two floors in the newly revamped Carillon City Shopping Centre. With prominent city mall frontage.

The TopShop TopMan brand will be looking to further expand the brand’s footprint within New South Wales through 2015 and into 2016, with three sites to be confirmed in the coming months to appease the state’s fashion aware customer.

Honestly it was bound to happen, but urban sprawl of Perth is contributing to slow retail growth in the CBD, you only have to look at foot traffic to see the vast differences. And you still have an extremely limited number of places to even get a meal at lunch time without having to venture further away such as Northbridge etc.
