The Peninsula Picnic 2015

The Mornington Peninsula racecourse will come alive yet again this March thanks to The Peninsula Picnic, the largest culinary and entertainment gathering on the peninsula during the region’s peak season.

Known for its food, wine and casual beachside lifestyle, the Mornington Peninsula is the perfect stage to what has proven in the past to be the perfect day out. Sun, food, music, entertainment and the perfect environment for friends and family make-up the bulk of the attraction of the Peninsula Picnic, which this year welcomes consultant chef Ian Curley of the Melbourne Racing Club, the European and Kirk’s Wine Bar.

With traditional contemporary Australian fare, multicultural menus and enough chefs and head chefs behind the kitchen doors to sink a ship, you know what’s on offer is for the inner gastronome in us all.

Catering for a cultured musical palate The Peninsula Picnic will showcase some of Australia’s best live acts and up-and- coming artists. The Waifs will bring their beloved mix of folk, blues and rock sounds, playing their classic tracks with trademark storytelling skill. Something for Kate’s Paul Dempsey will be performing his new solo material for a unique performance. The Pierce Brothers will showcase their energetic and exceptional stage presence that has seen them grow from street buskers to one of the country’s most recognised, exciting young acts. The intoxicatingly romantic folk of Tinpan Orange and the lush sounds of electronic-folk musician Hayden Calnin complete the soundtrack to this event.

An impressive event, tickets are available at Ticketek (WWW).
