The Matt Blatt Suite At Pullman Hotel Hyde Park
With an emphasis on design, style and a quirky taste that’s only rivalled by a handful of other boutique hotels in Sydney, the Pullman Hotel on Hyde Park in Sydney has taken the next step and done something unique.
In a unique collaboration, the Pullman Sydney Hyde Park has partnered with Matt Blatt, one of Australia’s most unique and premiere family-owned furniture and homewares companies to create a one-of-a-kind Matt Blatt themed suite. It offers guests a fully immersive experience, inspired by the hotel’s Hyde Park leafy outlook with all the quirk of the unconventional design company.
Perched on the 20th floor, the Matt Blatt Suite features the brand’s quirky unconventional style, designed to transport guests away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a secluded lush botanical space inspired by the Cuban jungle with pops of bold colour, animal paraphernalia, quirky prints and luxe soft furnishings.
Statement pieces featured in the room from Matt Blatt’s collection include the Teak Monkeys, Starsky The Hen and Piggy Sue the Piglet which add a touch of individuality to the suite, whilst other pieces such as the Contour lounge chair, Cowhide rug and Big Apple three seater sofa evoke a sense of relaxation and comfort.
Freshly painted bold coloured walls, and wallpaper provided by Animal Kingdom, are adorned by portraits from the Matt Blatt ‘fur baby’ collection, adding a touch of homeliness to the space. Bandit the Frenchie’s loving gaze from above the Big Apple sofa is hard to resist.
“Inspired by the Cuban jungle, the space showcases Matt Blatt’s diverse range of quirky wares, designed to stimulate and inspire the senses for a truly immersive experience. We hope that Pullman Sydney Hyde Park guests enjoy the space and have fun exploring all the suite has to offer,” Matt Blatt designer, Ehren Ozimek, said.
In addition to the visual aesthetic, the Matt Blatt Suite features many fully-customisable advancements in technology including a Samsung LED SMART TV (with Netflix), iPad mini and the Phillips Hue 2.0 Lighting System; designed to deliver the best lighting experience to guests. Controlled via the in-suite iPad or by Siri voice control, guests wanting to rise early can use lighting to wake them up in the morning while those seeking sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city can dim the lighting at touch of the button, helping them to relax.
Pullman Sydney Hyde Park’s Matt Blatt Suite is available for bookings until July 2017, with prices starting from $739 per night.
