Sydney’s MLC Centre goes gay for Mardi Gras with rainbow stairs for the season

Because a Mardi Gras brunch, a Mardi Gras photography exhibition and a Mardi Gras cocktail just don’t seem to be enough, we bring you another Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras installation that’ll have you feeling festive.

In celebration of diversity, equality and innovation, Sydney’s MLC Centre has unveiled an all-new addition to its iconic MLC Centre stairs on Martin Place, giving them a spectacular rainbow-coloured make-over.

The stairs have been supported by the GPT LGBTI Awareness & Diversity (GLAD) Network initiatives and is causing a stir with the city’s local drag personalities like Maxi Shield.

She unveiled the new-look spectacular stairs and recently joined GLAD members for the unveiling.

Go and see them for yourself at Martin Place, between George and Castlereagh streets.
