Make a racquet at Social Serve End of Summer rooftop party
Charity is turning it out at the end of the summer season this year with the Rose Bay’s Lyne Park Tennis Centre transforming into the ultimate social tennis event Social Serve’s the End of Summer event.
The charity event is all about great drinks, gourmet eats, beats and a giant serving of social tennis to support people with disabilities accessing sport.
Gourmet eats will be washed down with Pimms, Aperol Spritz, Canadian Club and cocktails by Poor Toms. DJs entertain with tunes to make it a game, set, match.
Afternoon doubles matches begin at 4.30pm and the rosé will flow from then.
“Social Serve is just a bloody good afternoon really and it doesn’t matter if you’ve never even played tennis before,” says co-founder of Social Serve, Iain Boyd.
“There’s always such a great vibe and I think people are genuinely surprised at how fun a social game of tennis can be. Our aim is always to get more people interested in tennis and moving about. If that means we have to pump some tunes and pour them drinks to do so then that’s what we’ll do!”
