Hot gin punch

Recipe: The Matron’s hot gin punch

Preparation: 10 minutes

Serves: 6-8


  • 700ml Hendrick’s Gin
  • 700ml Cold, English Breakfast tea
  • 700ml cranberry juice
  • 150ml port wine
  • 1/3 dup brown sugar
  • Peel and juice of 2 oranges
  • Peel and juice of 2 lemons
  • 5 cinnamon quills
  • 7 cloves
  • 1 star anise


Add all to pot and bring to a hot drinking temperature, do not allow to boil. Serve to your friends in teacups in the most eccentric fashion you can muster.
