Pharrell for GSTAR

Pharrell Williams is the new face of GSTAR’s RAW for the ocean campaign after his co-designing and curating of an eco-friendly men’s and women’s collection for the season.

Williams is the creative director of Bionic Yarn, which has been used in the development of the collection. It’s an eco-thread of fibres that are derived from recycled plastic bottles found in the world’s oceans.

The sheer scale of what developing this would involve is impressive enough.

This collection by GSTAR is the first collection to use innovative Bionic Yarn to create a denim collection and the first collection to utilise  a pretty impressive ten tonnes of plastic waste from the ocean. 

With funky details like their Otto the Octopus and printed on original patterns, GSTAR has brought something new on an international level to the game.
