Opera Australia is bringing Ring Cycle to Melbourne with an Exclusive Menu
Opera Australia’s The Melbourne Ring Cycle is set to take Melbourne again by storm in 2016 with Opera Australia, and boy are we in for a treat.
Directed by Neil Armfield and conducted by Pietari Inkinen, The Melbourne Ring Cycle will comprise of four big operas that run for eight days between 21 November and 16 December. Tenor superstar Stefan Vinke returns with his astounding performance as Siegfried, while newcomer Lise Lindstrom will sing her first full Ring Cycle as Brünnhilde.
But to top it all off, Arts Centre Melbourne have curated a series of dining packages to complement your evening at the opera. The menus reflect the themes of the show for the night, with no two days being the same as it entices you to come back for more festivities.
Upon my little taste test at a private luncheon with Opera Australia at the Arts Centre, it’s an ambitious and extensive menu to say the least. From a Königsmahl four-course degustation to elegant three-course meals filled with delectable desserts and succulent cuisines, you’ll be treated like royalty as you explore new operatic worlds.
Note that each show runs for approximately two hours, and while that may sound daunting to some, rest assured because the food and beverages will be served to you during the intervals, giving you a chance to unwind and reenergise.
