Oliver Peoples X Maison Kitsuné

Kitsune X Oliver Peoples

They’ve just opened their first store in Tokyo, so the styles of the pairs of sunglasses the collaboration has spat out make perfect sense.

Oliver Peoples and Maison Kitsuné opted for the made-in-Japan line to welcome wearers to the funkiness of Tokyo and the classicism of Paris by naming each pair respectively. The Tokyo style of the frames are for optical necessity and sport a very cool – and super unique – flip-down UV lens, while the Paris style is purely and simply sunglasses.

More than just accessories, the two styles offer a new perspective on the art of living around the world.

This is Maison Kitsunés first venture into eyewear and something that both Kuroki and Larry Leight, founder and creative director of Oliver Peoples are very excited for.

The capsule collection includes two vintage inspired styles that take cues from the 1950s. With a combination of quality materials, fine detailing and a snappy minimalist aesthetic, the Oliver Peoples brand fit-in seamlessly with the Maison Kitsuné name, reinterpreting classics enhanced for men’s and women’s ready-to-wear.

Tokyo RRP – $550

Paris RRP – between $420 and $450
