Old meets new at A[WEAR]

A[WEAR] is about to hit Melbourne again, this year firmly cementing its place in the local fashion calendar.

In conjunction with the Whitehouse Institute of Design, the A[WEAR] fashion event will take place this Wednesday night at the illustrious Melbourne establishment in a celebration and showcase of some of Melbourne’s latest and greatest up-and-coming designers. With an edgy garbage grunge meets rebellious punk vibe, the A[WEAR] event is sure to make for an interesting aesthetic.

Alongside the fashion show that will take place, pop-up stalls featuring amongst others, the works and styles of the designers enamored by Melburnians and Australians alike Lisa Taranto, Alpha60, Pamela Usanto, Neo Dia and Alexandra Blak will flog their wares and showcase their work.

All proceeds from ticket sales – available here – and donations on the night go to the Prahran Mission which supports Melbourne’s ‘disadvantaged’ population.

Last year, the same event entitled ‘Mission 65’ raised over $7,000 and attracted over 300 guests. This year is sure to be bigger and better than ever with more sponsors, guests, designers and entertainment. So get excited.

The event is being held tomorrow night at 6:30pm at the Whitehouse Institute, 672 Bourke Street Melbourne. Come one, come all.
