Spend Mother’s Day on Sydney’s harbourfront with a Turkish lunch at Anason. There’s a five-course set menu that includes scampi with fava beans, pickled grapes and saffron; and dolma with duck, tarhana, mint. Dessert is sarma: a moreish baklava roll with muhallebi and hazelnut ice cream. If you’ve never tried Turkish wine before, you’re missing out. Contemporary Indian food has a new name in Brick Lane, Darlinghurst.
