Mosman’s Buena Vista Bar Has A New Look And Menu You Really Need To Do

The Buena is cooking up some magic and serving it straight up in their new Vista Bar.

All food explorers beware we are entering a place of fantastical atmosphere and yum-yummy-yummiest of cuisine. Get into your happy place, because hangry is about to hit hard.

There are establishments which seem to hold an aura of contented bliss about them. Bliss just delicately hovering about, so that all that enter in may be bathed in pleasant satisfaction. Vista. Bar. It’s made it to big leagues, being that it is a wondrous place where aesthetic décor, wholesome and mouth-watering dishes abound and the nectar that we’re all partial to (red wine, white wine, whiskey, whisky, cocktails, sangria on sangria on sangria etc) seems to flow from every nook and cranny.

Let’s start at the very beginning, it’s such a very good place to start. Entrées. Maria surely was singing about entrées right? Of course she was, we can’t get the song of Vista Bar’s entrées out of our head either. Spinach & feta cigars, the kind that Marlon Brando couldn’t have ever dreamed of, crunchy and flavoursome are one option. Wood fired prawns with caper butter, yellowfin tuna poke & squid ink crackers make up just some of the impossible entrée choice.

The proverbial ‘heat’ gets turned up a notch when it comes to the mains. Potato gnocchi, passata & pecorino and pepper crusted rib eye with sides & truffle butter hold multifaceted flavour notes that dance upon the palette, making their consumption a satisfying and scrumptious experience. Yet the mother ship comes to land with the roasted chicken, thyme & honey carrots and silver beet, it is huge, it is delicious and it is definitely for two people.

Yet dear souls, there’s more. The pizzas. Yes, the pizzas. Tomato, mozzarella, prosciutto Di Parma and parmesan grace the table for a second and your memory for a lifetime. The Margherita is a phenomena with its succulent tomatoes, oozing buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil.

But. Yes, there’s a but. The one eatable to rule them all. The one that will pluck your heart strings and have you returning again and again, is the fresh doughnuts with salted caramel sauce and malt ice cream. There is nothing like it on this earth. So we’ll meet you there in 10?
