Zebra Bar Queens Hotel Sydney Merivale THE F 1

Queen’s Hotel has a new bar to top them all

There is in Sydney a new venue to steal the limelight from the rest of them, if not for a time; Zebra Bar at the Queen’s Hotel. It’s worth a visit.

The Queen’s Hotel opened late last year, bringing the much-anticipated Queen Chow restaurant and The Smelly Goat cocktail bar to Enmore in the inner-west. Now, there’s a new venue to wow locals and visitors alike, Zebra Bar a cosy upstairs terrace hideaway catering perfectly for group bookings and events.

It’s the kind of place that screams a sophisticated ‘welcome’, if photos are anything to go by, sporting pretty stunning an onyx marbled horse-shoe bar, dark stained timbers, deep green and gold adornments, a green and off-white checkered tiled floor, and safari-inspired mural.

When it comes to their menu, Queen Chow led by the dynamic trio of Papi Chulo, Christopher Hogarth and Patrick Friesen and former Mr. Wong dim sum master, Eric Koh feed the customers, slamming them with Asian-inspired gastronomy that Merivale has kind of carved a name for itself with.

Meanwhile, all the food is to be washed down with a quality listing of cocktails, concocted by the Smelly Goat bar team, featuring classic cocktails made with unconventional ingredients – like Queens’ take on the Bloody Mary, the ‘Genghis Can’ with Wyborowa vodka, tomato, hoisin, sriracha and shitake, or the ‘Churchill’s Delight’ with Avion Anejo, Lillet Blanc, Lapsang Souchong.

Zebra Bar is open Monday-Thursday 5pm-late, Friday and Saturday 12pm-late, and Sunday 12pm-10pm.
