Meatstock Melbourne: A food festival line up to get your teeth into
Love meat? Then this is for you!
Meatlovers unite at the annual Meatstock meat-lovers’ festival, which this year is expanding to Melbourne in a meaty move, worthy of mouth-watering magic.
This year’s Meatstock festival is hosting the best names in barbecue and it doesn’t get much bigger than Tuffy Stone and Jess Pryles, who will team with all the meat masters of the country to bring the best the best in slaughtered animal right to your plate. Yum!
The two smokin’ barbecue experts will be heading to Melbourne with the festival to run barbecue classes and demonstrations for both competitors and the public.
Tuffy is known as “The Professor” for his attention to detail and he is a classically trained French chef, who became obsessed with BBQ in the early 2000’s, whilst expanding his BBQ restaurants around the states.
“Melbourne is Australia’s foodie capital, so I am looking forward to sharing our BBQ techniques together next year,” said Tuffy. “It was a so much fun meeting the BBQ teams from around the country last year in Sydney’s sell out festival, so I am super keen to experience Melbourne,” he said.
Over fifty-five teams from across Australia and counting will be battling it out at the first ever Meatstock Melbourne barbecue wars for $10,000 in cash and prizes and more importantly to be crowned the best barbecuers in Victoria.
The pro-protein festival is taking place in Melbourne from the 22nd– 23rd April, featuring bands and barbecues, beards and barbers, butchers, bourbon and plenty of beer.
