MBFWA Day Two – Toni Maticevski

Maticevski took bunched bodices, geometry and high quality fabrication to the next level at Carriageworks.

A palette of blacks and whites with interspersed pops of colour comprised his presentation at MBFWA Sydney, which emphasised a great array of plunging dips and ascending slits, accentuating the feminine form and movement of the womanly figure, typical and an inherent part of the beauty of Maticevski’s work.

With a nod to the almighty awful peplum trend that made its debut last season, Maticevski reinvented the accentuation of women’s waists in an array of fabrics that were so far beyond a trend so common and befitting of gowns, dresses and two-piece outfits worthy of a highest end.
