Lux Melbourne

A little bit underground Berlin nightclub, a little bit BDSM bar, a little bit gay, Lux Melbourne threw open its doors on Melbourne’s southeastern nightlife strip Chapel Street to a fanfare of excitable proportions.

Sexually-charged caged dancers with handheld fireworks, plenty of alcohol and plenty of dancing made-up the five-or-so hour party that welcomed the venue to town and celebrated what the club’s name tries to convey.

Themed around cabaret nightlife, debauchery and a passion for fun – all luxuriously – Lux offers something different to the regular run-of-the-mill bar and nightclub along the Chapel Street strip. Playing on nearby neighbour Red Bennies’ cabaret offering, Lux fastens the bridge between debaucherous club and moderately sophisticated entertainment venue.
