You can now have a romantic dinner on board the ferris wheel at Luna Park!

Ask most people where their ideal romantic dinner destination is and you’d get a babble comprised mostly of anything involving Paris, the Eiffel Tower or some secret garden-type set-up with breathtaking views.

Take a moment, if you will however, and reinvigorate your images of grandeur with something a little more close-to-home, yet still complete with breathtaking views: dinner on board the ferris wheel at Luna Park Sydney.

Every Sunday from October to March, the ferris wheel in conjunction with The Deck Sydney at Milson’s Point comes alive, playing host to a gastronomic three course meal with matched wines. The whole dining experience comes with a private carriage and breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour from right underneath one of its two most known icons, the Harbour Bridge.

The panoramic views span Sydney Harbour from the Sydney Opera House, across the CBD skyline and Sydney Harbour Bridge around to Walsh Bay and beyond. In 2014, The Ferris Wheel Dining Experience was named ‘Best New Innovation in Food and Beverage’ at the International Association of Amusement Park and Attraction Awards.

The five-star menu is made with the freshest local produce and hand-selected wines to match, prepared by The Deck’s talented Executive Chef, Michael Roper.

For the main course, there’s a grilled black Berkshire pork cutlet with botifarra negra, cavelo nero and apricot jus, or a fresh gold band snapper and WA lobster primavera with a lemon, sorrel and butter sauce. Matching Australian wines are a 2009 Brokenwood Latara Vineyard Semillon or a 2015 Wirra Wirra The Absconder Grenache.

For a decadent finish, you’re served a decadent dessert platter to share, including a Belgian chocolate terrine with double cream and Grand Marnier oranges, summer berry pudding and a salted caramel crème brûlée, mango and raspberry salad and chocolate popping candy. These will be served alongside a sweet Italian Alasia DOCG Moscato D’asti 2014.

It’s a must! Tickets are $399 per couple and can be bought here.
