LMFF National Designer Awards 2013

The L’Oreal Melbourne Festival is very much all about promoting and supporting the emerging designer in all of us.

Well, those with the skill anyway.

LMFF each year sources and looks into fashion designers both tapped and untapped, to give great praise and thanks to while awarding them the National Designer Award, one of the country’s most honourable recognitions in fashion.

The L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival National Designer Award recognises designers in their first year of business who excel in creative design, display supreme quality and show great potential for growth within the fashion industry.

Previous winners of the National Designer Award who’ve been helped in the propulsion of their careers are such Australian greats including Dion Lee, Josh Goot, Romance was Born, Toni Maticevski, Yeojin Bae and Christopher Esber.

It’s always an exciting time for designers. Especially those nominated.

Talented finalists for the celebrated National Designer Award present their collections to an expert panel where one will be honoured with the award.

The 2013 National Designer Award Finalists are:

Kathryn Beker
