Laphroaig Releases Its 32-Year-Old

Established in 1815, this year sees the 200th anniversary of Laphroaig Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky and to cap off the yearlong celebrations, they’ve released a limited Laphroaig 32 Year Old batch that is delicious.

Only 100 cases will be available in Australia from October. The deep mahogany whisky is reminiscent of Christmas fruitcake, coming just in time for the ‘happy’ season. Retailing at AU$1500 a bottle, the 32 Year Old is for whisky lovers who want to savour a once in a lifetime moment… And then some!

The rare bottle of Laphroaig has acquired a decent flavour after lying in the finest ex-Oloroso casks for a significant time investment of 32 long years.

It’s the ultimate luxury and a perfect gift for the whisky aficionado. It’s got flavours of bitter chocolate, which follows through to nutmeg and a nice oakiness.

The divisive whisky has celebrated 200 years in style, rereleasing master distiller John Campbell’s favourite 15 Year Old, as well as bringing 100 lucky winners of its #OpinionsWelcome campaign to the remote Islay distillery for Laphroaig Live.
