Johnnie Walker & Sons Diamond Jubilee Event

Just before spring sprung, Sydney hosted a soiree of epic proportions to celebrate many of the city’s inhabitants’ favourite pastime:¬†drinking.

They celebrated it with one of the only staples a gentlemanly gentleman should have in his wide array of finely aged whiskies; Johnnie Walker Diamond Scotch Whiskey; and in the presence of Johnnie Walker & Sons fans and favourites, there was no drink more appropriate.

The bottle was the first to be opened in the world and was valued at $200,000.

Just pause for a moment and let that sink in.

With an intimate and super exclusive list of 50 in attendance, the likes of varying stakeholders and singer Ronan Keating gathered in the shadow of Sydney’s famed Opera House on a clear night to celebrate the pomp and ceremony of such an auspicious occasion that was the opening of a bottle of scotch worth more than we’re likely to see in our lifetimes.

Drink up.
